Tammy, originally hailing from the steel city of Pittsburgh, PA, has found her home in the picturesque town of Bristol, VA. As a dedicated mother to four grown children — one son and three daughters — she revels in the role of being the proudest Gramma to seven incredible grandchildren.

Despite her roots, Tammy's heart beats to the rhythm of Virginia's mountains, where she finds solace in her love for music, often belting out tunes despite any lack of formal training. An avid lover of the outdoors, she cherishes moments spent amidst nature, accompanied by her cherished fur babies.

Tammy's journey to where she is today is a testament to her resilience and determination. Having faced the challenges of dropping out of high school, she defied odds by obtaining her GED at the age of 29. Undeterred, she pursued higher education, earning her dual BA degree in Psychology and Fine Art from California University of PA at the age of 41.

Her passion for helping others led her down the path of counseling, where she has made a profound impact across various age groups. From guiding preschoolers in the LEAP program to supporting college students battling addiction, and even providing solace to seniors, Tammy's commitment to mental health and well-being knows no bounds.

Building upon her foundation, Tammy furthered her education, earning a MS in Clinical Mental Health and Addictions Counseling from California University of PA. Now, as a Resident in Counseling within Virginia, she continues to empower individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery.

Yet, perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Tammy is her unwavering belief in others. With her infectious optimism and genuine encouragement, she instills a sense of confidence in everyone she encounters.

In every interaction and endeavor, Tammy's mantra remains steadfast: she believes in YOU. Tammy is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Tammy provides therapy via telehealth and in-person who have Medicaid-based plans with Aetna Betterhealth, Anthem Healthkeepers, Optima, Optum, and Sentara/Virginia Premier, as well as commercial plans with Anthem and Cigna.

Tammy is under the clinical supervision of Melissa Londry, LPC who can be contacted at melissa@bodyandmindfullyhealthy.com or 276-293-1235.
