Introducing Christy Hawks
Based in North Carolina, Christy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her master's degree in counselor education from Lindsey Wilson College in December 2023. She holds a Virginia license and provides services at the Galax office, as well as through telehealth sessions.
Christy specializes in supporting adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, and PTSD. With a deep commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential, Christy brings experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various mental health settings.
Outside of her professional life, Christy cherishes time with her family and friends. She enjoys walking, spending time by the river, and traveling.
Christy is eager to guide clients on their journey to mental wellness at Body and Mindfully Healthy.

Christy accepts Medicaid-based plans through Aetna BetterHealth, Anthem HealthKeepers, Molina, Optima, Optum, Sentara, and Virginia Premier, as well as commercial insurance plans with Anthem, Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare. Self-pay and out-of-network billing are options, as well.
