The Family Stability and Reunification Services (FSRS) Program provides trauma-informed support for families involved with the Department of Social Services (DSS) and Family Assessment and Planning Teams (FAPT) in Galax, Carroll County, and Grayson County, Virginia.

Our mission is to facilitate safe, meaningful family connections and empower parents to work toward stability and reunification through hands-on coaching, system navigation, and consistent, compassionate support.

Families who have had children removed from the home by DSS​

Referrals made exclusively through FAPT or DSS
Our Services

Supervised Visitation
In-home or community-based family visits supervised by a qualified mental health professional to ensure safety and provide supportive engagement.

Parent Coaching
Real-time, in-the-moment coaching and psychoeducation to support healthy parenting skills and foster connection.

Case Support
Assistance with achieving DSS and FAPT case goals related to reunification, stability, and family functioning.

Staffed by Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) with extensive experience in family systems, DSS, and intensive coordination

Supervised by Melissa Londry, LPC, a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor
Logistics & Funding

Fully funded by DSS or FAPT

Private pay available for those without DSS or FAPT funding

Cost: $85 per hour

No transportation provided, but we help connect families to community transportation supports

Mileage covered at no cost for Galax families
-
State reimbursement mileage rate applies for Carroll and Grayson County families
