Tori Smith is a compassionate and client-centered Resident in Counseling dedicated to helping individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. She values building genuine therapeutic relationships and creating a welcoming environment where clients can openly process life’s challenges, strengthen coping skills, and work toward personal growth at their own pace. Tori has experience working with diverse populations across multiple levels of care and is passionate about adapting her approach to best meet the unique needs of each individual and family she serves.
Tori earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Bluefield University and later pursued her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Her professional background includes direct community-based work prior to transitioning into outpatient counseling, allowing her to develop a well-rounded understanding of client care and the importance of meeting people where they are emotionally, personally, and culturally.
She is especially excited to serve within the community she is originally from and feels honored to give back to the area that played an important role in shaping her values and passion for helping others. Tori values meaningful connection, authenticity, and creating a positive impact within her community both personally and professionally. Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, loving on her two fur babies, and unwinding with a good book or documentary.
Tori is currently welcoming Commercial Cigna, Commercial & Medicaid Anthem / Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Commercial Optum/UnitedHealthcare, as well as self-pay clients at our new Radford office. Additional insurance credentialing is in progress.. Self-pay and out-of-network billing are options, as well.
Tori is under the clinical supervision of Rebecca Worrell, LPC.
