At Body and Mindfully Healthy, we are committed to supporting our team’s continued growth and bringing the most effective, research-based treatments to our clients. We’re thrilled to share that Hannah Ingo, Resident in Counseling, and Trudi Jackson, Master’s Level Intern, have recently begun their journey in EMDR Basic Training!
What Is EMDR and Why Does It Matter?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy used to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, and more. It works by helping the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. EMDR can bring deep, lasting healing, especially for individuals who have tried talk therapy alone but feel stuck in patterns tied to past experiences.

What EMDR Basic Training Involves
EMDR Basic Training is a rigorous 40-hour program that includes:
In-depth instruction on trauma-informed principles
Practice sessions to build EMDR skills in real time
Supervised application of techniques within a clinical framework
After completing the training, both Hannah and Trudi will continue their development through 10 hours of required consultation with EMDRIA-approved consultants. This ensures that their work with clients is ethical, safe, and effective while building confidence and precision in their use of EMDR.

What This Means for Our Clients
As Hannah and Trudi continue their training and consultation, they are already beginning to incorporate elements of EMDR under supervision. Clients working with them may notice a deeper ability to address the root of emotional pain, not just manage symptoms. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, grief, identity shifts, or trauma, EMDR offers a way to heal at the nervous system level.
We’re so proud of their dedication to this next step in their clinical journey. Their commitment reflects our collective mission: to help clients move beyond survival and toward thriving.
Stay tuned as Hannah and Trudi continue to grow in this transformative modality and bring deeper healing to those they serve.
